Pacific Northwest Society for the Study of American Women Writers Fall 2017 Reading Group: Work of Ella Rhoads Higginson (1862-1940)
The reading group will be guided by invited scholar Dr. Laura Laffrado (Western Washington University) whose Selected Writings of Ella Higginson: Inventing Pacific Northwest Literature (2015) brings together numerous works of fiction and nonfiction by Higginson. This meeting will follow the format of previous meetings:
1) A catered lunch sponsored by University of British Columbia (12-2pm) in the William Gibson Room at Green College, University of British Columbia
2) a brief update on participants’ current research followed by a discussion of the author’s works (2-5pm) in the William Gibson Room
3) a no-host dinner at Banana Leaf Restaurant, 3005 West Broadway (Please let us know about any dietary restrictions you may have on the RSVP form).
